Scottish Rig Repairers Appoint New Operations Manager Scottish Rig Repairers, a division of Enterprise Engineering Services, has appointed Walter Linemann as operations manager. ![]() With over 25 years' experience in the oil and gas industry Walter previously worked for SRR for 20 years before leaving in 2005 to work for other major drilling companies. He now rejoins the team and will co-ordinate and supervise project teams and clients on rig repair, shutdowns and major upgrades. Eddie Lamb, general manager of Scottish Rig Repairers (SRR), says, "We welcome Walter back to SRR. His vast experience on projects both onshore and offshore will prove vital in supporting the division’s on-going growth and development." Walter, says, "SRR is one of the worlds leaders in rig repair and their track record is impressive. I am glad to be part of the team once again. The multi-disciplined workforce enables us to complete jobs effectively and efficiently and we have the complete capability for inspection, repair, maintenance and modification. Walter continues, "All of our contracts are supported by our project management. SRR is capable of mobilising personnel and equipment at short notice with the necessary systems in place to execute projects in a timely and professional manner." SRR is currently nearing completion on a rig project based in Namibia, South Africa, and sees this as a region for growth. Enterprise Engineering Services (Enterprise) has an annual turnover of more than £14 million, the company currently employs 140 staff both onshore at the West Tullos Industrial estate workshops and offices and offshore on client facilities. |
